I had this problem (white to black) with the same card and never did
figure out what the problem was, it eventually went away. I _think_ it
disappeared after I added more memory to the system; previously I ran
256MB - now 384MB, 512MB & 1GB and changed from ATI Technologies Rage
128 PF/PRO to onboard intel on 2 and Trident Graphic 3DImage 9850 on the
other.
