Everyone else keep in mind that it's possible that the mirror you use
may not have synced to that version yet and do

apt-get update
apt-cache policy libc6

to check for the fixed version.


(BTW, the 'apt-get clean' in your sequence is not really needed.
'apt-get clean' simply deletes all debs from the local archive,
regardless of whether they are corrupted or not. And the broken libc6
package was not a case of package corruption anyway)
