Ubuntu 7.10 Video Drivers?

Hi to all:

I have just installed Ubuntu 7.10 on a HDD for use with another
computer. Upon booting, noticed that video defaults to 800x600 dpi.

Are there any drivers for 7.10 that will get me to 1280x768 dpi or
close? My Video card is Rage 128 PF/Pro AGP 4X TMDS. I get decent 
dpi w/ XP but not with Ubuntu 7.10. The LCD monitor is Viewsonic VX 910
NVIDIA GE Force 4MX440 AGP8X. Anyway around this problem?  Thanks for
any help here!!
