It is almost impossible to get internet connection in East Timor and even i have access to it.. it's very slow. I frequently travel to many places in East Timor and most of the place that i visit have no internet access at all. I was wondering if i could use my laptop as a repository server and have other PC connected to it and build the ubuntu.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Rsyncmirror looks (on a quick glance)
of what I've done...
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Debmirror looks like it might be of
some use too, and there's
https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-mirrors, apparently.
(40 secs on google, with "ubuntu rsync mirror" as my search)
Short answer is you'll need a *lot* of disk-space, in the first instance a
decent web-connexion, and then, you'll prob want to update (regularly)
the mirror you've got.
What I would say is if you are doing a rsync download, you might want to run
it through screen(1).
