Running Ubuntu 8.04 on VMWare server 2.0 beta. All was working fine until
today. I installed a new router, all other PC's which run windows, including
the VMware host, can access the net fine.
The ubuntu vm can ping anything e.g. www.google.com. But if I try to open in
firefox or lynx, it looks like its connected and requested data, but it just
sits there waiting after that.
Interestingly, I *can* connect to pages on the LAN fine (e.g. the Vmware web
infrastructure, and the old router's interface). But if I try to access the
new router's web interface (192.168.1.1), or anything on WAN, no go.
I have run a script called collectNWData and attached the results here. It
has output of stuff like ipconfig, route, arp etc.
Have been searching for about an hour and a half to no avail. Any ideas much
appreciated!
