problem moving a user's home directory to a new, location, ***SOLVED**

Congratulations Jay! I think this way will work fine, I appreciate your
information, so if one day I need to do the same, I think I will follow your
above explanation.
I am new in Linux, and I am not familiarized with backups yet, so,  seems to
be so easy that you can backup all your data just copying your home
directory in a dvd!
