you forgot about remote desktop and efs.  oh, and the ability to join a
windows domain and accept group policy from a domain controller.  oh wait...

wasn't vista basic a requirement for them after their problems in the
EU?  i.e. they had to ship an OS without their media player in it.

hrm, in any event i'd much rather be using the Hardy Heron than vista
any day.  8.04 is the best release yet imho and once they fix my autofs
bug i don't know what i'll complain about.  maybe the shoddy gl
screensaver support i seem to have when i'm running compiz.
