Problems installing. No ISO, WUBI not working

Alright! to make a long long painful story short I needed to flash my
DVD drive with new drivers to get it to recognize the Ubuntu CD.  If
anyone reports a similar problems, especially if they have an old Dell
with a TSSTcorp DVD RW TS L532 then that might be their problem.
