Fwd: Can't Switch Betweem TTY And X

This is one of 3 posts this month that got no replies.
 I know there may be several reasons why no replies
are sent but would appreciate any help in resolving
this issue as "startup messages" are a primary
debugging tool for me.  Yes, did google and found many
hits but no solution. Any help, suggestion is welcome.
