help with getting ubuntu to work with wubi....

I have a intel pentium 4 2.8 ghz processer
hp pavillion a700y
160 gb hd
graphics card is nvida fx 5200
2gb of ram


what the problems I am having is. it never boots just freezes about 1/4 of
the way through the loading screen that happens when i try and boot off the
disc or try and install of the disc. ubuntu 8.04 is the one i am using.

if i use the alternate cd I get this error or

when i use wubi....it goes to the loading screen and stays there forever
froze on a quarter of the way through. Nothing happens. Even overnight I put
it and it still didnt work.
