I own a copy of "The Official Ubuntu Book; Second Edition" by Benjamin Maco
Hill and Jono Bacon with Ivan Krstic, David J. Murphy, Jonathan Jesse, Peter
Savage, and Corey Burger with a foreward by Mark Shuttleworth.
(I can't believe I even bothered to type that; I probably could have copied
it from Amazon. And no one's going to read all of that anyway.)
Anyhoo, it's pretty useful, and has helped me with some tough problems.
Whenever I need help, I go there first. Only problem is that it was written
about Feisty Fawn, not Gutsy or Hardy. I'm not sure if there's a newer
edition (I own the second, but they might make a third, or already made it).
And if I have a problem that can't be addressed there, I go here. Works
perfectly.
By the way, I got this at a nearby Barnes and Noble (I actually went to one
instead of getting it online!).
It even includes a recipe for making a type of Ukrainian egg bread shaped
like the Ubuntu logo! They figured that if the book had so many recipes for
fixing an Ubuntu system, it's only fair to include an actual recipe! I tried
making it; It's good!
That's a lot more typing than I usually do in an email.
David
P.S. That bread really is good. And it's shaped like the Ubuntu logo, which
makes it taste even better!
