OT: which to use - email client or web-based email?

I've been using gmail for almost a year now.  The thing I like about
it most is being to Google my mail.  Aside from that it's really
nothing special.  There are a couple of FF add-ons that make it a bit
nicer: "Better Gmail 2" (handles mailto: links in Gmail) and "Gmail
Notifier" (does a systray alert when you have new mail).  I also like
being able to quickly check mail on different machines.

I think gmail threads better than Thunderbird - but that's only
opinion.  I don't have any facts to back that up...

In the end, you might just give one or all of them a try and see if
you like them...
