Problems w/ Kernels on Hardy

installed packages are counted), I think. I marked all of them for total

In your case, maybe there are something more to uninstall that you missed.
Do a search in synaptic for the version numbers only, or even only a part of
the version numbers, such as 24-17. Maybe you'll find something that is
still installed.
