>From a terminal (Applications|Accessories|Terminal):

gksu /etc/sane.d/dll.conf

Note: you might want to go ahead and put Terminal on your top desktop
panel... you'll be using it a lot. Just right-click
Applications|Accessories|Terminal and select "Add this launcher to
panel". That way you can just single click the panel icon to open Terminal.
