Do anyone know why Storage Device Manager can't see mounted partitions?

System > Administration > Storage Device Manager
shows sda1 which is ext3
but not sda3 or sda4 which are NTFS

fdisk shows all of the partitions.

Nautilus and Places show them just fine, but until they're mounted
by some user action, they aren't available to a program like Thunderbird
or even for the desktop background.

This is a new Ubuntu 8.04 install, completely updated.
