8.04 randomly locks up.

When lockup occurs, it is complete.   There is absolutely no response to 
any mouse or keyboard action.   It's as though the keyboard and mouse 
are both disconnected.

The only reaction I get is when I press the power button on the 
computer.  The computer shuts down and as far as I can tell, it's a 
normal shutdown.
