    That IS a surprise! I googled Star 600 and learned it is a 
discontinued printer but to use the Star 700. There are Star printers 
that plug right into a USB port. I looked for software and there is none 
listed. Not even for Windows. I gather the software for the cash 
register includes a driver to the printer.
