I seldom respond this way, but are you just plain stupid? You suspect a
virus in a file, you pass that on to a mail list and then ask if there
is "Virus in this file?". Not only do you risk passing along a virus if
there is one, but it is especially harmful for those that read this list
via Windows machines.
Let's put it this way; would you appreciate it if I were to send you a
file with a suspected virus, trojan, or rootkit and ask you if you think
that there is a virus, trojan or rootkit in the file? You'd probably be
a little pissed off, and may even report me for spamming you or
purposely attempting to infect your system... right? Well how do you
think several hundred people feel when you do the same to them via a
mailing list?
Please do not send something like this again - to anyone. If you suspect
that a file may contain a virus delete it, or use contain it, but
*please* don't send it along to anyone else.
