I did a CLI (command line interface) install with Xorg/openbox on top on
an old toshiba PII laptop with only 96MB. You can probably do the same
thing with gnome.
$sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop-enviroment
The thing actually runs pretty nice. I just need a faster web browser,
Opera's just a bit too greedy for this machine. It'll be great when
Midori gets out of Alpha.
