Annoying behavious of Nautilus when drag+drop as link

Xubuntu comes with Thunar which has a bulk renamer:
http://thunar.xfce.org/pwiki/documentation/bulk_renamer

sudo apt-get install thunar

It will pull in the dependencies and take up about 15.4MB:

$ sudo apt-get install thunar
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
