Firefox 3.0 Whacked out

I nuked all the addons and extensions, didn't help.

Found a suggestion elsewhere to remove the .mozilla directory in my home
directory.
Things began working normally.
Fortunately I had recently come across the FoxMarks addon,
so recovering my Bookmarks was trivial.
