Installing fonts

Karl, thanks for your suggestion.

I already wrote that I'd installed the msttcorefonts. That's always one 
of the first steps in setting up a new distribution. It's fonts not in 
that collection that I want to install.

Ah! There's the sticking point. There are several places where fonts are 
stored in the new Ubuntu. I spoke ambiguously, because I don't know 
where to put them in 8.04.
