I am shocked and appalled at the lack of insight this list has given
you, James.

Every Uber-geek knows full well that unexplained electronic phenomena,
or UEPs, are the result of sunspot induced electro-magnetic radiation:

http://www.solarcycle24.com/

A simple experiment of surrounding your computer room/space with
tin-foil or other EMI absorbing ferrous material will prove or
dissprove the possibility of solar radiation inciting electrical pulses
on your mouse cable.

If this proves false, well, it is ubiquitously documented that the only
other possibility of explaning such UEPs are, of course, poltergiest.

Hope this helps.

Dave

P.S. List, again, shocked and appalled!

P.P.S. It's July 3rd 2008, Ubuntu bug hug day, and today's target is
xorg. Do your part and triage an xorg bug.
