Issue installing Ubuntu

I have an issue getting Ubuntu to install and boot correctly.

 

The setup of my HDD's is as follows:

 

Primary IDE

SATA-0 (BOOT)

SATA-1

SATA-2

SATA-3

 

Ubuntu will install correctly but will not boot as it seems to want to
write the boot sector to the Primary IDE rather than to SATA-0

 

I'd welcome suggestions on how to get around this issue.
