After a little searching I got interested in the idea of a hosted personal wiki. There are several providers but I'm considering recommending Luminotes https://luminotes.com/

At first glance it's an extraordinarily nice piece of software. Simple and very fast and intuitive to use. Signup was easy, just username and password, even giving an email address was optional. It's free and there's no ads, the plan seems to be to get people to sign up to a paid version with more features and storage space. It's the personal project of one guy, and the software is GPL.

Pretty nice! I'm slightly uneasy about how much I should trust it to note lose any notes and to keep them private. It says that the content is backed up daily which is nice and it does keep revisions of notes. It has a button to download all your notes as HTML too.

Still interested in other recomendations.
