Dear Support team,
(hope I have the correct email)
I loaded ubunto from the cd, succesfully, and it all appeared to work ok. I then tried to add some more features from the list when I tried to close the laptop it would'nt without disconecting the power sources. when I started it up again it loaded the the ubunto logo and showed the loading bar when this has completed the screen goes blank and all hard drive activity stops. I tried reloading completely from the cd to no avail I then tried loading the encrypted version but this only asks for the encryption password which I enter then the same thing happens. I am now completely stumped as to what to try next. I think possibly it could be the nvidia drivers? also on boot as it starts loading ubuntu it comes up with  "bios bug (hash) 81{4943500} found". 
this is on a HP pavillion dv6000, with AMD turion 64x2 processor, and graphics by nvidia. 
Please could you help or foreward the email to who ever can help, as I now have a new but dead laptop.
