Ubuntu Dapper from vmware to xen

Dear,

I'm trying to move an exising Ubuntu Dapper installation to a new server
with xen.
The old server has vmware, which has run without any problems
whatsoever. However, when moving it to Xen I have just one little
problem that makes the server useless: eth0 won't come up!

On the Xen HVM domain, its a realtek 8139 and the 8139cp driver does
detect the network card properly. If I type dmesg it nicely reports it
detected the network card. It does however not mention the network/link
is up.
Also no /dev/eth0 shows up. This is quite strange behaviour...

So two questions:
* How do I get the eth0 up and running?
* Alternatively, where do I get a Xen-DomU kernel for Ubuntu?

Thanks

- Joris
