Looking for a CLI tool for MP3 tagging

Rather late, I would like to thank all folks who answered my question.

For the archives: I tried the proposed tools and settled on eyed3, 
proposed by Christoph. It was the only tool that supports both 1.x 
and 2.x ID3 tags.

The only nuisance is the command naming, eyeD3. Why the author 
chose to add an uppercase letter in a Unix command, is outside of 
my comprehension. ;-)
