Hi all!
I have a HP laptop with a Nvidia 6150 video card properly installed with
the drivers in the official repositories, but I haven't had luck with
compiz.
I've had this problem since feisty, and right now I'm running the alpha5
of hardy, with exactly the same problem.
I activate compiz and it runs perfectly. All the effects on, and it's
amazingly good and smooth. Then I reboot the computer (or just the X
server) and it becomes awfully slow. So slow that I can't even use the
computer.
And then, after I reboot the X server several times it works flawlessly
again. That is, until the next reboot.
I have no idea what can be causing it, much less how to fix it.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!
