Another WIFI Issue Involving WMP54G & /etc/hosts

I did in fact do that, modified for diff in hosts
names.
Have also reinstalled gutsy and found that besides the
localhost there is only entry for the IP and computer
name. Bet I remember that in the future. Expect that
is what Deric was alluding to.
Did have trouble installing with the alternate CD in
expert mode but retained my home directory. Somehow,
it just installed the base code and I had to install
everything else including ubuntu and desktop before I
could get a full souces.list and get online. Yeah, I
installed my card and got online without any
additional help; Oh, hurt myself again. I expect my
altermnate cd is good as I did get X working finally
but had difficulty reading it as it was made with a
new machine and this is an old circa 2000 machine.
Thanks for you rsponse and all those on the list who
helped. I'm good now but haven't rebooted, we'll see.
