Actually it's a great tool, I used it several times flawlessly and
received many positive feedbacks, hope it would be also your case :)
I think it is worth a try.

I think GParted is a Gnome tool, but I find the Ubuntu partitioner a
little tricky, at list for me. Distrowatch describes GParted live CD
as a real distro
