Well, Kmail shows the HTML garbage as it is because there is no plain text
part for the main message in the original mail. So if Kmail would show
the plain text part, it would be only the mailing list signature. If
there are both HTML and plain text for the main message, it displays the
plain text version of the main message. Anyway, that is a question of
preference settings. Kmail can be set to prefer the HTML display, but
fortunately that isn't mandatory.

Does Sylpheed show the HTML part as is or does it show it without the
code? And if it is without the code, is it like plain text or with the
markup?
