ipods on ubuntu

I don't see any recent discussion on the various software options for
using ipods on Ubuntu. I am especially very interested in people who
have recently tried the various packages that integrate with ipods and
are willing to give the pros and cons. 

I could care less about iTunes. I just want to listen to music, move
stuff on and off the ipod. Its an ipod classic 120g. Thx.
