Change in bios and I cant boot now

Just so Im clear:
power down
remove jumper from pin 1 & 2 and put it on 2 & 3
leave for count of 5
put back on jumper pin 1 & 2
reboot

Carl, I did remove the battery. Did not help. Im assuming that after I 
power down and then I remove the battery, 30 sec to 1 minute is enough.
