Hi Bill,
if the driver on the CD doesn't specifically say it's a Linux Driver,
you can't install
it without using an extremely large Hammer. :-) . Windows software will
not install on Ext3.
Easier to get an external Serial modem, be careful of external USB
modems, most
are "Win modems" software driven. I have a USRobotics usr 5637 usb that
just plugs in and works.
Set up dial up connection to ttyACM0 and all works.
