Dial Up Modem Driver

I purchased a dial up modem for my sister-in-law. (No DSL)  the modem is
a SmartLink 56k PCI Modem and it came with the driver disk and I have
found them in the Driver Directory on the CD.  My problem is how do I
install the driver.  lspci does not show the modem as being there.
