Freeze SO Linux, it's possible?

All you need is to revert any changes to the file system. Using FUSE
you could redirect read and write operations to some temporary storage.
<http://invaders.mars-attacks.org/~boklm/copyfs/> does something
similar. Maybe it could be modified to not keep the intermediate versions.
