oh i dont know, i dont recall having any dependency issues, thats where
i always get it from.

go here  https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu  and scroll down a
little to the repository instructions for 8.10.  i cant imagine after
following those instructions your going to still have dependency issues.
