Nautilus: fails to connect to FTP server without explanation: how to debug ?!

The other little detail that is strange, is that it keeps ask me for
the PW eventhough said password was included in the URI along with the
log-in:

ftp://login:password@myserver.fr

So it should not ask for the password in the first place, am I right ?
