"Select the best server" *never* selects the best server

yes, but Ashish in in India.  Having a nice connection to the Internet at
the server is only the start - in fact it's almost always better for me to
use American servers than Canadian, because their pipes are bigger - but
you also need good connections between the server and your ISP.  I've heard
that the international connections to India are as good as anywhere in the
world, so I'd rather suspect that Ashish's problem is at his own ISP.
