  I think it's  deathly important that linux or any other free software 
increase market share.  Who is going to continue to write programs for 
software that is obscure and little used.  We newbies are sure not going 
to write it.  If I were a doctor I would want to work in a hospital 
where the patients are.  If I went to work at a failing or stagnent 
growth institution it would likely be the end of my career.  I suggets 
it's much the same with programers and executives that are need to keep 
GNU going.  This is a huge world wide endever and  can't survive without 
growth any more than a none profit church or charity can. I think growth 
is esentual to linux.
    Nothing I have said was ment to be critical of free programing and 
was said in the hope of being helpful. I guess this may be off topic on 
this list so will not say more.
