Hi Steve
Disclaimer: This advice may be illegal by local laws in your country.
Additionally you need broadband access.
Most of the books what you see in your book shop are are on Bittorrent
trackers for free (free as in free beer) download. All you need is a
Bittorrent client an some good trackers. I use rtorrent. Transmission is
a nice and user friendly client for Ubuntu.
Start browsing the most popular places for torrents (only the names
here, use Google for exact URL)
- Mininova
- The Pirate Bay
- BTJunkie
- Demonoid
- Sumotracker/Sumotorrent
In next thread you can ask the list "What ebooks do you recommend me for
learning the shell?" :-)
regards
Sven
