Your Lexmark Z31 is supported by the foomatic drivers:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/all/foomatic-db/filelist
http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/foomatic-db
[/usr/share/foomatic/db/source/printer/Lexmark-Z31.xml]
Meaning, if you have foomatic installed, your printer should be supported.
If you do not have foomatic installed; from a terminal:
sudo apt-get intall foomatic*
should do the trick.
