Music Program

Does anyone know of a program for Ubuntu Linux that lets me enter notes
on a staff (like I was composing music) and then can play (make the
music come out the speakers) what was entered?

I used to have this on my Amega, and it was very handy for learning
tricky rhythms or note intervals (I am a singer).
