java problem

An update for those of you who asked what java test site I used, it is, 
http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml  But although I can give you the 
URL for the etrade page, https://us.etrade.com/e/t/pfm/portfolioview you have 
to be a registered user to see it!  It is on that page the "steaming quotes" 
button is and that in turn goes to 
https://us.etrade.com/e/t/applogic/MarketCasterInfo1 and it is this page 
which brings up the popup window which says "Start:applet 
not initialized" ...This would be nice to have on my laptop for travel but my 
Mandriva Powerpack 2008 based desktop displays it all properly so I am not 
really stuck.  I think however, I'll wait just a little bit before changing 
the desktop over to Ubuntu!
