java problem

I don't know if any of you all are on ETrade but their "streaming quotes" 
function uses java to display.  On the screen it opens I get a "Start:applet 
not initialized" error.  Going to the java test site, it says everything is 
installed and working correctly.  Did I miss something in my install or does 
Etrade just not work with Ubuntu.
