Will there be a supported upgrade path from Edgy to 8.04?

Relax, my good man.
The suggestion to reinstall in this case was made because the OP was
asking how to upgrade from Edgy, which is version 6.10 to Hardy, version
8.04. This would require upgrading to 7.04, 7.10, then to 8.04, quite a
lengthy process. It is faster then to simply reinstall directly to 8.04.
If you are already at version 7.10, Gutsy, it is just as fast to upgrade
to 8.04.
