Yes it will. Both run fine on my 2 Hardy Beta desktop testsystems.
But firefox beta 3 is the system default browser. Do not know why and
it crashes a lot on my two systems...
The firefox executable is a symlink to the firefox beta 3 executable.
I just changed the symlink of firefox to point to firefox 2 by hand.
But this may break on the next update and I have to change it back by
hand.
I'm not sure if this can be done with the update-alternative system.
That would be the debian way. Just give it a try.
Removing firefox beta 3 completly is no option for me, because there
are some dependencies on firefox beta 3... And for me it is a mystery
why a beta version of firefox is the default browser. But it is Hardy
beta also ;-).
