But wouldn't they just say "we provide a driver, if you don't want to us 
it, that's your choice"?  As far as I can see, the only way this would 
hurt them is if there were a video card with open source, accelerated 
driver available, which we could purchase *instead* of their hardware.  
I don't know of any such hardware.
