USB Flash Memory can't detected by ubuntu.

sometimes my kubuntu acts like its not detecting it, so try mounting.

also, give us a dump of dmesg so that we know if your flash drive is 
compatible (which it should be) or not (your flash drive may be broken).

furthermore, do you know for sure that this drive works? Have you tested 
it on a good working pc aside from the current one?
